About Me
I was born and raised in Western Massachusetts and learned to drive on a tractor at age 12. Just about the same time I answered a chain letter which began a pen pal relationship of 42 years which recently made headlines when we met for the very first time. I think there is hardly anything better to speak to my dedication to words on parchment than the hundreds of handwritten letters I have stored in my attic.
A storyteller since learning to talk and a writer since I was six, my love for proverbial ink on paper led me to a 14 year magazine publishing career followed by 20 years and counting running my own strategic marketing company. I received my bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude. I am the author of the Amazon bestsellers, Be the News: A Guide to Going Viral with Your Human Interest Story, When Mama Can't Kiss it Better: A Journey of Love, Loss and Acceptance, several longstanding blogs, a few ghostwritten books, and multiple published articles. I am a dedicated national advocate for awareness of and family support for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders and other invisible mental health disorders.
